Job Responsibilities
  • Backup environment monitoring and operations
  • Management of backup environment consisting of DellEMC Networker and/or DellEMC Avamar solutions combined with DellEMC DataDomian and/or 3rd party tape solutions.
  • Sharing ownership of operationaBal responsibility for backup systems administration with the customer representatives
  • Daily administration activities of the backup environment (Networker, Avamar, DataDomain) currently deployed at customer.
  • Performing change management in the defined backup environment in accordance with change management policies
  • Patching, implementing fixes, upgrades of minor releases
  • Assistance in creation, assessment & resolution of SRs (Service Requests) on behalf of customer. Working together with DellEMC Support representatives on SRs isolation and applicable recommendations implementation.
  • Assisting in preparation for host based migration tasks, inclusion of new hosts to existing backup environment.
  • Responsibility for preparing backup software for any storage projects, if applicable.
  • Generating regular operations reports using currently deployed tools in the environment


Skills Required
  • 3+ years of backup infrastructure administration experience with a Bachelor degree (IT related)
  • Knowledge and practical hands-on experience with DellEMC Networker, DellEMC Avamar and DellEMC DataDomain
  • 5+ years overall It experience
  • Experience in competitive backup technologies is a definite plus
  • Experience in DellEMC Data Protection Advisor is a definite plus
  • Experience in DellEMC Storage technologies is a definite plus
  • DellEMC backup technology certifications is a definite plus
  • Has a Positive Attitude
  • Has a sense of urgency and is Pro-Active
  • Self-starting, motivated
