Job Summary: Assist cultivators and the post-harvest team with trimming of harvested cannabis flower, post-trimming storage, and record-keeping, as well as assist with certain post-harvest tasks. We expect approximately 1-2 consecutive weeks of shifts to be available per month for trimming. Non-trimming, post-harvest activities may be offered for the remainder of the 2 weeks a month.
Compensation: $100 per lb (experienced trimmers can expect to get through 2+ lbs per 8-hour shift);
$18/hr for any non-trimming, post-harvest activities (pending interest and availability)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform trimming of harvested cannabis flower using standard procedures including but not limited to operation of trimming tools and machinery, post-trimming storage, and record-keeping.
Maintain a clean environment by removing and disposing of all waste, cleaning, and sanitizing all rooms and tools used daily.
Operate and monitor any trimming equipment or machinery.
Assist in collecting data to monitor plant yield, quality, and seed-to-sale tracking.
Maintain certain minimum efficiency.
Master and apply basic principles of trimming standard operating procedures and sanitation.
Assist others to accomplish trimming goals.
Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment, technology, and software.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Agriculture, horticulture, or plant trimming experience is a plus, but not required.
Budtenders with a passion for cannabis and individuals with assembly line experience are encouraged to apply.
Strong hand-eye coordination, finger dexterity, and attention to detail.
Reliability and ability to stay focused and self-driven over long periods of time.
Ability to work for 8+ hours per day, including weekend/holidays.
Must be able to obtain required state cannabis employee ID at time of hire and submit personal information for background check and fingerprinting.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Note: Work environment may include exposure to dust, fumes, odors, heights, heat, humidity and noise, uneven surfaces, standing/sitting for long periods of time, bending/stooping, or hard surfaces. There is also the requirement to wear PPE and work during inclement weather (we are an indoor facility).
