About the Role

We’re looking for a talented and motivated Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and enjoys taking projects from concept through to print.

 

You’ll work closely with our sales team, clients, and suppliers to deliver high-quality, on-brand design work that supports both new and existing business.

Key Outcomes (What Success Looks Like)

Design Delivery

  • Retail and sales briefs are interpreted accurately and executed creatively.
  • Designs are delivered on time, on brief, and aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Concepts, mock-ups, presentations, and final artwork meet quality and print-ready standards.
  • Minimal rework required due to strong attention to detail and briefing clarity.

 

Operational Excellence

  • Daily tasks are planned and prioritised effectively.
  • Planner, ETAs, and weekly reports are kept up to date.
  • All artwork is quality-checked before submission and print.
  • Templates, sizes, and artwork libraries are accurately maintained.

 

Collaboration & Communication

  • Clear, professional communication with sales, clients, suppliers, and printers.
  • Proactive feedback provided on progress, challenges, and clarifications.
  • Strong working relationships maintained internally and externally.

 

Commercial Support

  • Design work actively supports sales efforts to win new business and retain existing clients.
  • Artwork sizes and specifications are supplied timeously to enable accurate quoting.
  • Mock-ups, and print files are completed accurately.

Core Responsibilities

  • Interpret briefs and clarify requirements with sales and stakeholders.
  • Conceptualise, design, and execute creative work across multiple formats.
  • Produce mock-ups, presentations, and final print-ready artwork.
  • Apply and maintain strict adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Manage repro, DTP, and final quality checks before print.
  • Liaise with printers and suppliers; submit artwork correctly.
  • Update planners, reports, and KPIs consistently.
  • Maintain templates, artwork sizes, and design assets.
  • Participate in relevant internal and external meetings.

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign essential)
  • Experience taking campaigns from concept through to print (optional)
  • Repro and DTP experience (optional)

Experience & Qualifications

  • Relevant Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design
  • 0–3 years’ experience in a design studio or agency environment
  • Experience with retail or production design (advantageous)

Practical Requirements

  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
