About the Role:
Grapevine Media is looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented Distribution Supervisor to oversee and coordinate warehouse operations, distributors, supplier logistics, and rollout execution nationally.
This is a hands-on, detail-oriented, admin-heavy operations role requiring someone who is strict with processes, excellent with communication and follow-through, and confident managing suppliers, warehouse teams, and regional distribution operations.
The successful candidate will act as the communication link between Sales, Operations, Warehouse teams, Suppliers, and Distributors, ensuring stock accuracy, smooth installations, consistent quality control and operational excellence across the business.
This role offers long-term growth into a Distribution Manager position as the business expands.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate communication between sales, warehouse, installation, and distribution teams
· Maintain accurate daily stock reconciliation and inventory updates
· Manage supplier coordination and production timelines
· Ensure deliveries arrive timeously to reduce unnecessary courier costs
· Supervise distributors during rollouts and activations
· Conduct quality control checks on builds/hardware, at supplier warehouses/installations, and Johannesburg setups
· Conduct monthly in-trade QC visits with critical feedback.
· Maintain rollout schedules, stock records, QC logs, and operational reporting
· Submit weekly operational and QC reports to management
· Manage distributor timesheets and support payroll processes
· Coordinate and manage regional teams telephonically and via email
· Attend daily operational meetings and ensure action items are followed through
· Implement and enforce operational processes with suppliers and teams
Required Skills & Experience:
· 3–5 years’ experience in logistics, operations, administration, or distribution coordination
· Strong administrative and organisational skills
· Advanced Excel and email management skills
· Experience using inventory, stock control, or ERP systems
· Strong communication and relationship management abilities
· Ability to manage suppliers and enforce operational processes professionally
· Detail-oriented with strong quality control focus
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
· Comfortable supervising teams remotely and telephonically
· Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
Working Hours:
· Standard office hours
· Availability after hours when rollout installations take place
· Occasional weekend standby support required
· Limited national travel may be required occasionally to Durban or Cape Town regional warehouses
Reporting Structure:
· Reports directly to the Operations Manager
· Supervises approximately 6 distributors and 2 warehouse staff
