As the Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of large-scale residential and SMME solar projects at GoSolr. Your responsibilities will encompass strategic planning, sales management, and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy Development

  • Lead the formulation and execution of the commercial strategy for large-scale residential solar projects
  • Identify growth opportunities and revenue streams within the solar market

Sales and Business Development

  • Drive sales efforts, including client acquisition and relationship management
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve revenue targets
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.

Project Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of solar projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
  • Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams (compliance, procurement, operations, finance and customer experience) to achieve project milestones

Market Research and Analysis

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks

Finance Performance

  • Monitor project financials, track costs, and optimise profitability
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management

Risk Management

  • Mitigate risks related to project execution, contracts, and market dynamics
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in commercial management, preferably within the renewable energy sector
  • Familiarity with large-scale solar projects and the residential market
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
  • Results-orientated mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives
