Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Design Intern to support the design and development of Golf VX spaces. This role will contribute to a variety of projects, including residential installs, commercial venues, and franchise locations. The ideal candidate has a strong design sensibility, technical skills, and an interest in experiential or sports-related environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing interior layouts for Golf VX residential, commercial, and franchise projects
  • Develop 2D and 3D design concepts using CAD and SketchUp
  • Create mood boards, material palettes, and finish selections
  • Support space planning, furniture selection, and lighting concepts
  • Produce client-facing visuals, renderings, and presentations
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, construction, product) to align designs with project goals
  • Conduct research on materials, trends, and innovative design solutions
  • Assist with site measurements, documentation, and coordination when needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar CAD software)
  • Experience with SketchUp (or other 3D modeling tools)
  • Strong understanding of space planning and design fundamentals
  • Ability to produce basic renderings or visual presentations
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) or similar tools
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Preferred / Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Enscape, V-Ray, Lumion, or other rendering tools
  • Familiarity with Revit or BIM workflows
  • Knowledge of materials, finishes, and FF&E sourcing
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings and documentation
  • Interest in experiential design, hospitality, or sports environments
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills
