Host Job Description 

Golf VX is a leader in golf technology and is now expanding into the entertainment and hospitality field. We are seeking talented individuals to join our team at our flagship Simulator location and grow with our company. We are looking for an enthusiastic host to help launch our first location. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, managing guest flow, and ensuring our customers have an exceptional experience. 

· Greet and welcome guests promptly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression 
· Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and bay availability 
· Must be at least 18 years old 
· Maintain a clean and organized host stand and guest waiting area 
· Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy environment 
· Elevate staff morale and demonstrate professional conduct 
· Assist the General Manager in training new host staff and provide guidance in daily operations 
· Provide ongoing feedback to host staff to ensure consistent service quality 
· Proactively manage guest interactions during scheduled shifts, including coordinating with servers and other staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining cleanliness 
· Perform opening and closing duties, including pre-shift preparations, guest check-in procedures, and end-of-day reports, noting important trends or issues in the daily log 
· Frequently engage with customers to ensure top-notch service and promptly address any complaints or issues 
· Ensure a high level of cleanliness, organization, and presentation in the guest reception area 
· Provide efficient, friendly service to guests, adhering to all steps of service and maintaining a welcoming environment to enhance the guest experience 
· Accurately manage reservation systems and communicate effectively with staff to ensure smooth operations 
· Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations by anticipating guests’ needs 
· Be able to assume responsibilities of other roles at the facility as needed 

Requirements: 
· 1+ years of hospitality or customer-facing industry experience 
· Able to frequently move and/or lift up to 15 lbs and occasionally move and/or lift up to 30 lbs 
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods 
· Available to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts, especially weekends 
· Proficiency in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment, including reservation systems, POS systems, and communication devices 
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
· Proficient in basic computer skills, office applications, and email 
· General knowledge of the game of golf and willingness to learn about golf simulators 
· Adhere to all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook 
· Work well with others and be a team player 

Preferences: 
· Food handler’s certification within 30 days of hire 
· Some prior experience in a host or customer service lead role 
· Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, late nights, and holidays
