Due to our continued growth, we are recruiting for a customer-focused, Professional Services Engineer to join our team.   

As a Professional Services Engineer at Get Support, you will play a crucial role to implement, configure and optimizer technology solutions to our clients.  Day to day, you’ll work closely with our clients to ensure smooth operation of their IT systems, ensuring operational Key Performance Indicators are met and contract obligations are fulfilled. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills and strong communication abilities.   

Job Summary

As a Professional Services Engineer at Get Support, you will play a crucial role in implementing, configuring, and optimising technology solutions for our clients. You will work closely with clients to ensure the smooth operation of their IT systems, meeting operational Key Performance Indicators and fulfilling contract obligations. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and strong communication abilities. 

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Lead role in project delivery 
  • Work with our clients, ensuring they are kept up to date pre/during/post project work 
  • Providing efficient and effective customer service to end-users and stakeholders. 
  • Prioritising and managing your workload to meet client SLAs. 
  • Coordinating with third parties to install, configure, and deploy software. 
  • Planning and coordinating the deployment and implementation of hardarehardware and software
  • Configuration and Setting up and ddeploymenting of new users, hardware, and software.  
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practices. 
  • Documenting and updating records pertaining to supported networks and devices.

 

Skills Required

To excel in this role, you should have proven experience in an IT support environment, preferably within an MSP, including deployment, configuration, and migration of technologies, as well as administration and support. You should show strong customer service skills, be organised, and possess strong communication, problem-solving, and IT skills, along with: 


Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, with hands-on experience in Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and Exchange management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022), including Active Directory and other server roles and feature.
  • Advanced experience with Windows 10.
  • Familiarity with Office Microsoft 365 licensing and administration.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V.

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Project Management

  • Customer Service and Communication:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
    • Ability to provide training and support to clients and team members.

 

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment or a similar role.

 

Additional Desirable Qualities:

  • Project Experience:
    • Previous experience managing technical projects.
    • Hands-on experience with the deployment, configuration, and management of technical solutions.
  • Certifications:
    • Industry-recognised certifications.
  • Other:
    • A full UK driving license would be beneficial.

 

Location:                  Eynsham (office-based with site visits as required)

Working Hours:       Monday – Friday, 9am to 6pm

Salary:                      £30,000 - £40,000 dependant on experience
