Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced professional to lead our German Government Grant Writing Team. This key role will drive our efforts in securing vital funding for innovative startups in our portfolio. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of specialized grant writers focused on German government funding opportunities
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize success rates in grant applications
- Collaborate with startups to translate complex technologies into compelling grant proposals
- Research and identify relevant German government grant opportunities for our portfolio companies
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders in the German funding landscape
- Oversee the creation of comprehensive budgets and financial projections for grant applications
- Ensure quality control and timely submission of all grant applications
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Report directly to senior management on team performance and funding outcomes
Qualifications
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) is essential
- Any experience in grant writing, preferably with German government grants
- Background in engineering or business is highly advantageous
- Proven track record in team leadership and project management
- Excellent writing abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong understanding of technology sectors and sustainability issues
- Experience in startup environments or working with innovative technologies is a plus
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, multicultural environment
