Overview of role

As a DevOps Engineer OpenStack, you are an important part of our agile OpenStack Squad, which works on the further development of our OpenStack infrastructure. We also give you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with new technologies and we support you in your professional development with intensive induction and training opportunities.

Core tasks

• Because we at plusserver are members of the GAIA-X Foundation, provide a license-free infrastructure solution with pluscloud open and work there on the Sovereign Cloud Stack. That is why collaboration and conception in the SCS context is an important part of your responsibility.

• You will work on the conception of our open source cloud products, automate, standardise and operate the OpenStack environments

• You also support the development of pluscloud open and have everything under control through operational and conceptual activities regarding availability and recovery

• As a member of your competent team, you will also work with Ansiblee and Terraform and think outside the box with container virtualisation and Kubernetes

• Even in troubleshooting, no one can fool you, because you carry out problem and error analysis and come up with sustainable solutions

Must have requirements

• 3 year plus experience as DevOps Engineer in administration in a Linux/Unix environment

• In-depth experience in building and operating OpenStack platforms

• A constructive approach to troubleshooting to solve problems and optimise them sustainably

• Passion and enthusiasm for new topics and technologies around OpenStack, Kubernetes, Linux and automation

• Interested in implementing virtualisation and cloud projects

• A preference for independent and responsible work as well as the willingness to participate in on-call duty

• Speak German at business fluent level (C1 minimum) and English at fluent level (B2 minimum)

Nice to have requirements

• Worked or working for cloud service providers

• 5 years plus relevant working experience
