The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering direct patient care in a Community industry. RNs are responsible for assessing patients' conditions, implementing nursing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role demands a combination of clinical knowledge, compassionate patient care, and effective communication skills.



Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Assessment & Monitoring:

    • Conduct thorough physical assessments of Clients.
    • Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in Clients conditions.
    • Evaluate lab results, diagnostic tests, and clinical data.
    • Visiting community and SIL houses in a regular basis. 
  2. Care Planning & Coordination:

    • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
    • Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  3. Medication Administration:

    • Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physicians’ orders.
    • Monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects.
    • Maintain accurate medication records and ensure proper handling of medications.
  4. Clients' Advocacy & Communication:

    • Serve as the primary advocate for patient needs, concerns, and rights.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
    • Provide emotional support to patients and families.
  5. Infection Control & Safety:

    • Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment.
    • Assist in the prevention of hospital-acquired infections.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and patient care standards.
  6. Documentation & Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and hospital standards regarding documentation.
  7. Emergency & Critical Care:

    • Provide emergency care in critical situations, including CPR and life-saving measures.
    • Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients in emergency settings.


Skills Required:

  • Education:

    • A valid Bachelor’s degree in Nursing  or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
    • Must hold a valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state or region of employment.
  • Experience:

    • Previous experience in Community nursing.
    • Experience in specific specialties (e.g., ER, ICU, Pediatrics) may be required based on department needs.
  • Skills:

    • Strong clinical assessment skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
    • Knowledge of medical equipment, clinical procedures, and patient care technologies.
    • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach.
