Job Title: IT and Web Development Executive

Department: Information Technology

Reporting to: Head of Operations & Productions and the Director

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy websites.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

• Debug and resolve technical issues as they arise.

• Ensure websites are responsive, optimized for performance, and compatible across different browsers and devices.

• Deploy websites to cloud servers and ensure smooth operation.

• Manage and maintain databases, particularly MySQL.

• Implement security best practices to protect websites and user data.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Django framework.

• Proficiency in WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization.

• Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Experience with database management, particularly MySQL.

• Ability to deploy websites to cloud servers and manage server configurations.

• Knowledge of Linux operating system and command line tools.

• Familiarity with FileZilla or other FTP clients for file transfer.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Angular.

• Experience with using MailChimp for sending out bulk emails.

• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.

• Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.

Key Working Relationships:

The IT and Web Development Executive will work under the supervision of Head of Operations & Productions and the Director but will also be expected to work under his own initiative. There is a need for excellent communication and the continued maintenance of relationships with all staff in the Company, contractors, clients and visitors.
