Job Brief: The job holder’s overall responsibility is to act as a technical expert in lifting and handling service. ▪ Promote safe handling and lifting operations in reference to company's HSE policy and international standards ▪ Develop the Lifting Management System (LMS) in company as and if required by senior management and ensure its understanding and application by relevant employees and contractors ▪ Undertake/participate periodic reviews and audits of contractor LMS as required, with particular focus on higher risk activities ▪ Validate competency of contractor employees, responsible for Lifting/Handling operations ▪ Review and approve contractor lifting plans ▪ Plan and monitor budget and contractual payment process related to Lifting/Handling operations Responsibilities: ▪ Take reasonable care of own Health and Safety and that of Others who may be affected by their acts at work ▪ Each employee, at his level of responsibility, must observe all Procedures and instructions in the performance of his own task ▪ Exercise such caution as is necessary to avoid danger to persons and installations or to avoid pollution ▪ Report any anomaly, abnormal conditions and near miss to supervisor Skills Required:
Minimum 10 Years in Crane, Rigging and Handling at Supervisory / Management level. ▪ Industry related qualifications such as LEEA/ EAL / OPITO / CPA ▪ The Lifting Specialist must have experience in lifting operation in different fields of application (supervision, calculation, inspection, etc) and in particular with heavy lifts offshore.
