We are seeking a friendly and organized Receptionist to join our team at Family Eyecare at Westchase. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for everyone who visits our office. Your main responsibilities will include greeting and checking in patients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and greet patients in a warm and professional manner
• Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
• Schedule and confirm appointments for patients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Collect and update patient information, including personal and insurance details
• Manage patient records and ensure confidentiality and accuracy
• Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork
• Handle and resolve patient inquiries, complaints, and issues in a timely and professional manner
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a customer service or administrative role preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a diverse range of individuals
• Proficient in using computer systems and software, including electronic medical records
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
