Job Title: Pattern Making & Garment Construction Faculty
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pattern Making & Garment Construction Faculty member to train and mentor students in fashion design and apparel production. The candidate will be responsible for delivering practical and theoretical knowledge of pattern development, garment construction, and sewing techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach pattern making techniques including drafting, draping, and grading
• Instruct students in garment construction, sewing, and finishing methods
• Develop lesson plans, assignments, and practical projects
• Guide students in using tools, sewing machines, and industry software
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
• Stay updated with current fashion trends and industry standards
• Assist students with portfolio development and project work
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design or related field
• Strong knowledge of pattern making and garment construction
• Proficiency in tools like sewing machines, cutting techniques, and finishing
• Knowledge of software like Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW (preferred)
• Good communication and teaching skills
• Industry experience is an added advantage
Experience:
• 3-5 years of teaching or industry experience preferred
