Job Brief:We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at dentalux. The ideal candidate will be passionate about oral health and dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting dental hygiene and educating patients on preventive oral care practices.


Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough dental cleanings to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
  2. Perform oral examinations to assess the health of gums and teeth, noting any abnormalities or signs of disease.
  3. Take and develop dental x-rays as necessary for diagnostic purposes.
  4. Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants to protect teeth from decay.
  5. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary habits.
  6. Assist dentists during procedures by providing suction, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment.
  7. Document patient treatment plans, procedures performed, and any significant findings in dental records.
  8. Schedule follow-up appointments and provide patients with post-treatment instructions and recommendations.
  9. Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies through continuing education and professional development.
  10. Uphold strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.



Skills Required:

  1. Valid Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in accordance with state regulations.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
  3. Proficiency in performing dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures.
  4. Knowledge of dental anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  5. Ability to operate dental equipment such as ultrasonic scalers, polishing tools, and x-ray machines.
  6. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Empathy and patience when working with patients who may experience dental anxiety or discomfort.
  8. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
