Daphco Medical Equipment is a fast growing durable medical equipment company based in Sherman Oaks, Ca that services predominantly Medicare patients with custom bracing and osteogenesis bone stimulators to patients.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of medical assistance experience demonstrating a background calling doctors offices and patients.
Responsibilities
- Respond to telephone inquiries from patients and Doctor's offices, start prior authorization and pre-certs, and contact physicians’ offices regarding patient order outcomes
- Contact prospective Doctor's offices to build new business opportunity
- Follow up on patient leads and their Doctor's office to get script and fulfill order
- Complete tasks relating to checking eligibility, referral status, prior authorizations and referrals
- Answer inquiries or complaints, statement of concerns involving a patients
- Self motivated and must have the ability to work independently
- Handle designated assignments and prioritize work in order to maintain workflow
- Display professionalism, good judgment, maturity, and fairness when interacting with others
- Maintain accurate and good grammatical communication, both verbal and written, with all levels of management, billing, members and providers
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintains confidentiality with all information pertaining to the patients’ medical information and privacy
- Display warm and pleasant phone personality, emphasizing tact, empathy, and patience
Hours
Monday to Friday - 10:00am to 4:00pm. Part time with the possibility for full time.
Rate
$17-$20 hr
