Job Brief:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team as a Loan Officer Assistant.  In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the sales team and clients through the facilitation of mortgage processing throughout the loan life cycle and providing exceptional customer service. This is a remote position, and no prior experience is required. This position is ideal for those looking to enter the mortgage and real estate industry. Responsibilities:

  • Assist mortgage loan originators and act as an intermediary between the mortgage brokers/lenders, clients, loan officers and third party vendors

  • Assist in the completion of mortgage loan application by obtaining necessary financial documentation from clients and/or third parties to compile and present a comprehensive loan package for underwriting

  • Assist the processing of mortgage loan files by conducting verification or order outs to acquire property and loan documentation, including appraisals, contracts, hazard insurance, inspections, title reports

  • Review and verify the loan application for completeness

  • Review and validate financial documentation for any potential issues

  • Analyze financial information to determine loan eligibility and terms

  • Maintain knowledge of loan products and underwriting guidelines

  • Update file statues in the loan origination system

  • Work with clients  and/or third parties to fulfill underwriting condition requirements

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and real estate partners and respond to inquiries in a timely manner

  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to mortgage lending

  • Collaborate with underwriters and sales team to ensure loans are processed accurately and efficiently
