Many people like to eat meat, drink milk or eat a boiled egg. We want those products to come from an animal that grew up in a healthy environment. Animals can – just like people – get sick and, luckily enough, also recover from that sickness. Farmers often use antibiotics to make animals recover or even to prevent them from getting sick. Bacteria that cause diseases can and are currently becoming resistant to those antibiotics. These resistant bacteria pose a threat to human health. So, what if we can prevent animals getting sick without using antibiotics? That’s where The Schippers Group comes into play!
They believe the solution is improving hygiene in the stable. Their teams advise farmers in the prevention of diseases and they continuously develop products and services that improve the daily work of the farmer. Colombia is one of the three focus countries in LATAM for TSG, a Dutch player in the global market of biosecurity products and solutions for farms.
The Country Manager is needed to further develop the brand and relations within the industry in Colombia to secure a larger marketshare in the coming years.
What are they looking for?
A strong business developer with 5+ years in Colombia and because of that experience understands how the market works, how business gets done.
A connection with the Agro/Food domain would be ideal but not necessary. Can you connect with people from all ages and backgrounds is more important than the industries you have served.
An experienced sales professional who has a track record in selling added value products and services in a competitive market where price - historically - is a dominant factor.
Responsibilities
- Building lasting relationships in the industry
- Developing and executing sales strategies for the different market segments
- Creating brand recognition

- Managing agents and sales staff
- Promote TSG vision throughout the industry
- Achieve sales targets consistently

Requirements
- Ideally a Dutch national, with 5+ years in Colombia
- Solid Sales & Business Dev experience, 7+ years
- Experience with the world of farming, agri / food
- Strong connector and communicator
- Good understanding of (product / solutions) marketing
- Plan based approach in a sometimes emotional market
- Fluent Spanish
- bi/trilingual
