The responsibilities of the CDL-A Driver include:
  • Deliver product to customers in a safe and timely manner by way of Box Truck and/or Tractor Trailer.
  • Arrive for daily shift on time and dressed in a clean and neat company uniform.
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record and adhere to company guidelines regarding quality assurance and safety.
  • Maintain truck cleanliness and meet company standards for daily truck maintenance.
  • Make any/all deliveries assigned by supervisor, including but not limited to route deliveries and late runs/pickups.
  • Maintain accurate logs as required by DOT.
  • Adhere to a cleaning schedule for assigned areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 and a half years' experience driving Class "A" Tractor Trailers/ Commercial vehicles.
  • Ability to successfully pass the Maryland Department of Transportation road test.
  • Ability to operate a commercial vehicle, deck plates, handcart, hand jack, and other equipment as required by the employer.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must hold necessary licensing requirements and credentials to operate assigned vehicles.
  • Knowledge of working in a distribution environment essential• Product knowledge is a plus.
