Role Overview

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), your primary responsibility will be to generate qualified leads and book meetings with decision-makers from startups and product-based businesses. This is not a hardcore cold-calling job — it’s about building trust, understanding startup pain points, and becoming the first friendly face of CloudTrains for potential clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential startup founders, tech entrepreneurs, and decision-makers who may require web, app, or software development services
  • Perform outreach via LinkedIn, professional emails, and introductory calls to generate interest in CloudTrains' offerings
  • Qualify leads based on their stage, need, and budget; schedule discovery meetings for the sales lead or founding team
  • Maintain and update lead data in Google Sheets or CRM tools to ensure accurate sales tracking
  • Assist in drafting compelling cold messages, follow-up emails, and introductory pitch decks tailored to each lead
  • Stay aligned with the latest trends in IT services and early-stage startup ecosystems to personalize outreach effectively
  • Collaborate with the internal sales and marketing team to refine lead generation strategies
  • Participate in weekly team sync-ups, feedback sessions, and sales training to improve messaging and conversion skills

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any stream) or currently pursuing final year
  • Excellent communication skills (written + verbal)
  • Comfortable with client video calls, international calling, and remote work
  • Strong curiosity about startups, IT services, and business development
  • Comfortable with performance metrics & targets
  • Basic knowledge of LinkedIn usage for networking
  • Self-starter attitude with a willingness to learn fast
