Job Description

Job Brief: 

Sales associates are responsible for assisting customers as they look for products, keeping the store clean, ensuring the shelves are well-stocked and occasionally helping customers check out.


  • Welcoming customers into the store or department in a friendly manner. 
  • Acknowledging a customers pressence in a department in a timely, friendly manner. 
  • Staying up-to-date and knowledgeable about products and their uses. 
  • Explaining to customers the best products for their needs.
  • Recommending related products to increase customers’ options and enhance the shopping experience. 
  • Promoting special offers. 
  • Contacting other store locations to source items that are not immediately available in the store based on customer requests.
  • Monitoring the merchandise and notifying the managment team when items need to be restocked or out of stock.
  • Restocking goods on shelves as neccessary.
  • Keeping shelves in a clean and organised manner by practicing good mechandising habits. 

Skills Required:

  • Secondary school diplomas desired
  • In-depth knowledge of hardware and hardware related items 
  • Excellent sales and communication skills
  • 3 years experience in a retail or customer service enviroment would be an asset
