Job Functions:

  • Comply with prescribed safety procedures or federal laws regulating waste disposal methods.
  • Operate machines or equipment to remove, package, store, or transport loads of waste materials.
  • Load or unload materials into containers or onto trucks, using hoists or forklifts.
  • Clean contaminated equipment or areas for re-use, using detergents or solvents, sandblasters, filter pumps, or steam cleaners.
  • Complete daily equipment pre-trips and logs required for safety and service schedules.
  • On occasion, position may require handling hazardous waste for transport.
  •  Available for on call duties in after-hours emergency response service
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge in plumbing and fluid mechanics

Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Degree Required
  • Class A CDL with at least 2-3 years over-the-road experience
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug test
  • Hazmat required
  • Tanker required
  • Must be available to travel and have a flexible schedule
  • Ability to work extended hours when needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Customer service and team oriented
  • Have a good sense of direction
  • Able to deal with extreme cold and hot climates
  • Comfortable with heights
  • Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner and wear required PPE equipment
  • Must have and maintain a smart phone
  • Must be able to perform all job functions that require lifting and/or carrying single items weighing at least 50lbs as well as functions/activities such as pulling, pushing, bending, climbing, standing, lifting, twisting, reaching, squatting and kneeling

Travel or Overnights Required: Yes, 3-5 week days/weekends on the road at a time with 2-3 days at home on average. Heavy amount of travel in Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky areas

Rate of Pay: This full time position would start between $21-$25, depending upon experience.
