We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will understand the fundamentals and principles of accounting. This role requires a strategic thinker who can mentor team members while managing day-to-day accounting operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to get exposure to a wide variety of accounting issues across multiple industries while working with other accounting professionals and individuals with various backgrounds.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Billing responsibilities for multiple departments in our main company.
• Managing the accounting for multiple smaller companies.
• Sales tax preparation and review.
• Cross training on accounting related tasks throughout our organization.
• Process analysis.
• Learning and being a resource for multiple accounting software programs for multiple industries.
• Monthly fixed asset management for multiple companies.

Requirements of the Staff Accountant:

• Desire to learn all aspects of all our business’
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail
• Ability to be a team player and offer support where needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2 years preferred, but not necessary
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, managers, and across departments.
• Professional in appearance and attitude
• Must live within 30 miles of Casey, Illinois
