Location: West Palm Beach, FL (4 days in office, 1 from home)

 

About the role:

This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of a customer's deal and identifying any risks that may affect the assignment of royalties. The Jr. Underwriter will play a crucial role in mitigating risks and keeping all internal interested parties apprised of deal status to ensure a seamless process.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of 20-30 customer files, overseeing the entire process from contract review to funding
  • Conduct a thorough review and underwriting of customer files within 24 hours of receiving the executed contract and keep internal database up to date with findings
  • Process and evaluate customer applications, utilizing analytical skills and internal/market guidelines for accurate assessment
  • Communicate effectively with clients, outside vendors/royalty payors, and financial institutions to gather necessary information for assignment completion
  • Assist Royalty Specialist with general inquiries and provide them with relevant information as needed throughout the process
  • Review reports to identify outstanding items and follow up with royalty payors for resolution
  • Analyze credit and search reports, interpret the gathered information and taking appropriate actions

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Jr. Underwriter or in a similar role within the financial industry
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and underwriting principles
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Provide support with various tasks related to the day-to-day functions of the department
  • Self-motivated with a committed work ethic
