Summary: Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned that pertain to this position.
- Review AP entry for accuracy
- Reconcile miscellaneous account statements
- Participate in Month-End closing activities as needed
- Coordinate annual 1099 reporting
- Provide support and assist with annual audits
- Perform vendor file maintenance and filing
- Cross-train on other accounting/bookkeeping procedures and tasks
- Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence.
- Perform Journal Entries as needed.
- Perform Monthly Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations
- Monitor Financial records on a weekly basis
- Monitor and reconcile Fixed Assets and Maintain Depreciation Schedule
- Code documents according to company procedures.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence.
- Payroll Processing Assistance as necessary.
- Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- BS in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
- Payroll Experience, Paylocity a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in an accurate and detailed fashion
- A focus on continuous improvement
- Experience in a multi-company environment a plus
- Intermediate or above level of proficiency using MS Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks Online
