Job Brief:

The Cellar Person is responsible for the duties involved with the fermentation cellar and all beer released to packaging. The Cellar Person is responsible for cleaning tanks, dry hopping & adjuncting beers, movin' beers, becoming one with the beers! The quality of our beer can be greatly affected by the cellar processes. Ensuring quality must be the Cellar Persons primary focus to ensure the quality and integrity of our product.


Responsibilities: 

  • CIP (Clean-In-Place) empty brite tanks, fermentors, and other equipment
  • Complete fermentation checks (gravities), pH as needed
  • Transfer of beer via pump or centrifuge or pressure
  • Addition responsibilities - adjuncting, dry-hopping
  • Filling kegs
  • General cleaning & organization – warehouse, walk-in cooler, dry storage areas
  • Set up keg washer and clean all kegs. Store them neatly.
  • Cycle any used brewing parts, and put away neatly.
  • Assist brewers as needed.
  • Assist canning line operation


Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Experience in a brewery or distillery setting is preferred but not required
