About Us

Atom.com is a fast-growing startup reinventing the way startups name, brand, and launch their businesses. With a powerful mix of AI tools and human expertise, we’re building a modern brand platform used by tens of thousands of founders globally. As we scale, we're looking for a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead all aspects of our finance function and help guide the next phase of our growth.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be the financial backbone of Atom.com—overseeing financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and reporting. You’ll work directly with the CEO and leadership team to drive financial clarity, support key decisions, and ensure operational efficiency as we grow.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Financial Oversight: Own financial planning, modeling, and long-term business forecasts across revenue streams (SaaS, marketplace, services).
  2. Cash Flow Management: Monitor and optimize cash flow, operating margins, and runway to support sustainable growth.
  3. Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and maintain annual budgets, revenue forecasts, and cost planning in partnership with department leads.
  4. Performance Reporting: Deliver regular reporting on financial performance, growth KPIs, and business trends to the leadership team and board.
  5. Compliance & Risk: Oversee accounting operations, tax compliance, legal coordination, and financial controls.
  6. Scenario Planning: Model various business and pricing scenarios to support product launches and strategic decisions.
  7. Partner Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations to support goal setting, resource planning, and operational improvements.
  8. Finance Stack: Maintain and improve financial systems and tools as needed—keeping things simple, accurate, and scalable.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 7+ years in finance or accounting roles, with experience in a senior finance position at a startup or tech company
  • Strong understanding of SaaS and marketplace business models
  • Highly proficient in financial modeling, budgeting, and strategic forecasting
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented—you’re comfortable working solo but strategic enough to support the exec team
  • Clear communicator with a bias toward action and accountability
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and simplifying complexity
  • CPA or MBA is a plus, but not required

You’ll Thrive Here If You:

  • Prefer lean teams and making decisions with real impact
  • Enjoy working closely with founders and senior leaders
  • Care deeply about getting the numbers right—and using them to drive smart action
  • Want to help shape a growing company without layers of red tape
