Key Objectives
- Deliver live, engaging on-air content that informs, entertains, and connects with listeners.
- Produce high-quality radio segments, coordinating all aspects of show preparation and execution.
- Collaborate with the programming team to develop innovative content and promotional strategies.
- Maintain technical standards to ensure seamless broadcast operations.
Responsibilities
- Host live radio shows, interviews, and special segments with energy and professionalism.
- Plan, script, and produce daily programming, including music selection, guest coordination, and content research.
- Operate and troubleshoot broadcast equipment and software to ensure smooth transmission.
- Collaborate with producers, DJs, and other team members to create cohesive and engaging programming.
- Monitor audience feedback and ratings to continuously improve show content and delivery.
- Stay current with industry trends, music, and news relevant to the station’s target audience.
- Manage social media and promotional activities related to on-air content.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an on-air personality, radio producer, or similar role in broadcast media.
- Strong verbal communication and interviewing skills with a clear, engaging voice.
- Proficiency with broadcast equipment, audio editing software, and live streaming platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative content ideas.
- Knowledge of FCC regulations and broadcast standards is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in college or commercial radio stations highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
