Job Summary:
The Medical Representative is responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing appropriate solutions to enhance patient care. The Medical Representative will also stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and new products.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Promotion:
Promote and sell pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals. Meet or exceed sales targets set by the management. Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to healthcare professionals.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Regularly visit healthcare facilities to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns. Provide clients with up-to-date product information, including benefits, usage, and side effects.
Market Research and Analysis:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and new products. Gather and report market intelligence, including customer feedback and product performance. Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase market share.
Training and Education:
Educate healthcare professionals on the proper use, benefits, and side effects of pharmaceutical products. Organize and conduct training sessions and workshops for healthcare professionals. Stay updated on the latest medical research and product knowledge.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales progress. Prepare and submit regular reports to management on sales performance and market conditions. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Medical Representative or in a similar sales role.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and the healthcare industry.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
