We specialize in matching experienced leaders with innovative, small internet based companies; typically in SaaS businesses, creative agencies and Private Equity/Holdco's. We're white glove exec search made accessible to smaller, nimble internet businesses. 

Align is currently supporting a growing SaaS business in the HR space with their new Director of Revenue hire. 

Position Overview:

As the Director of Revenue, you will be pivotal in shaping the future of this SaaS offering. You will lead our Account Management and Customer Success functions, focusing on delivering solutions that enhance talent management practices for our target market. This role provides a unique opportunity to build and scale a high-performing sales organization in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. You will need a strong sales background, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of SaaS solutions. Experience with talent management software and or HR Tech is preferred,

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Team Management:
    • Hire additional resources to build out both the Account Management and Customer success functions.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage the Account Management and Customer Success team members, ensuring alignment with company goals and the specific needs of clients.
    • Cultivate a high-performance culture with a focus on delivering exceptional service and tailored solutions that drive client success.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge related to this sector.
  2. Strategy Development and Execution:
    • Create and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth and customer retention by focusing on enhancing talent management practices.
    • Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of account management and customer success efforts in relation to talent management improvements.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts.
  3. Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in financial services institutions to understand their talent management needs and business objectives.
    • Oversee the delivery of customized solutions that effectively address the unique talent management challenges faced by clients.
    • Address and resolve any escalated issues or concerns from clients regarding talent management solutions in a timely and effective manner.
  4. Sales and Revenue Growth:
    • Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth by demonstrating the value of our solutions.
    • Stay informed about market trends and the competitive landscape in the industry to refine sales strategies and tactics.
    • Develop and implement pricing strategies, promotions, and other initiatives to boost sales performance for talent management solutions and HR Tech Solutions.
  5. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Partner with Product, Marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of sales and customer success efforts focused on talent management improvements.
    • Provide feedback and insights to the product team to drive enhancements based on client feedback and evolving needs related to this field.
  6. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Generate and present regular reports on sales performance, customer success metrics, and other relevant data to senior management.
    • Analyze trends, track performance, and adjust strategies as needed to meet business objectives and address client needs in talent management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in sales management within a SaaS company, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing account management and/or customer success, preferably in the context of HR tech,
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing high-performing teams in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, specifically in the HR tech space,
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
