Position: Software Engineer

Location: Melbourne Victoria

Job type: Full time, 38 hours

Salary range: AUD 140,000 to 145,000


Responsibilities:

The software engineer will be responsible for the following

• Analysing and evaluating including processing and collating information on numerous Market data sources, usage, and outputs and also performing fact-finding data itself.
• Working with the Markets Data Management, Business Desk Risk, Compliance, and the Front
  office to assist in delivering FSRA Standards and data accuracy in CMS to CSS & Goldtier 
  including data standards, taxonomy, metrics, controls, standards, etc.
• Working with business, change and IT representatives to develop data remediation tracking
  and final strategic solution goals.
• Assist with client requests to interpret and implement regulatory requirements through
  defining data models, mapping shorthand, and defining/building reports in Moody's Analytics
  solution throughout the programme.
• Be responsible for the support and maintenance of Moody’s Analytics products/applications
  both on-site and off-site, for customers.
• Participate in the evaluation of technical enhancements and effectively document technical
  issues. Write and maintain documentation to describe developments, logic, coding, testing,
  changes, and corrections.
• Provide on-site and phone support for clients technical requests.
• Participate in design workshops and contributions of ideas to the end solution design.
• Produce creative solutions to client requirements and problems, and make functional and
  technical enhancements to resolve customer problems.
• Interface with system users to define technical application requirements including system
  modifications and subsequently record any maintaining reports describing all developments
  logic, coding, testing, changes, and/or corrections.
• Be responsible for translating functional specifications for the technical development team
  and supporting the team in the overall development and testing process.
• Help client interpret regulatory requirements, and map their internal data to required
  mapping requirement logic.
• Be responsible for the installation and upgrading of new and existing reporting solutions for
  customers including. integration of multiple 3rd party and in-house applications with their
  software solutions in areas of regulatory reporting.
• Find alternative solutions for software bugs and make technical enhancements to resolve
  customer problems and configure environments whenever required.

Skills Required:

• At least 3 years of commercial experience coding in Java, TypeScript, Node OR React

• An out of the box thinker that thrives in turning problems into solutions

• A deep understanding of the start-up world
