Salary Range: 78k-82k
Mediadvice Pharmacy Lurnea is a community pharmacy that plays a primary role in the Healthcare Sector. We are a small community that pride ourselves in the provision of tailored healthcare services to Lurnea and its surrounding suburbs. Some of the services include dose administration aids, pharmacist consultation, medication reviews and management, local delivery services and vaccinations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
• You are a key player in our business, responsible for assistance in the dispensary and the delivery of exceptional customer service/care. The relationships you develop with your customer will be essential to continued repeat business and the long-term success of the pharmacy.
IN THE DISPENSARY
• Act as the Dispensary Technician and perform the required duties described below as requested
• Perform duties in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements
• Perform dispensary administrative duties with the use of a computer
• Perform operational duties under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Competent in communication with customers, the pharmacist and other health professionals
• Perform drug storage tasks and arrange delivery of medicines
• Perform stock control procedures in the pharmacy dispensary including dispensary orders and dispensary stock management
• Support the pharmacist in encouraging patient compliance
• Collate, prepare and finalise prescriptions for monthly NHS claims
• Assisting in the provision of home delivery including filling orders
• Assisting in preparation of staged supply under supervision of pharmacist
SALES AND SERVICE
• All customers are acknowledged & approached, offering a high standard of service and advice at all times
• Follow all correct procedures when processing cash and credit card transactions
• Assist customers with OTC medicine sales if holds a S2 & S3 qualification
• Accept and deal with or refer complaints to a manager
• Sound product knowledge of store lines, Inc. retail and OTC medicines
• Awareness of agency services available
• Awareness of in store promotions and generation of interest amongst customers
• Assist at dispensary counter when required
• Accept prescriptions from customers and ensure the correct patients details are recorded
• Approach customers browsing in the aisles and offer product information and advice
• Satisfy customer needs by clarifying the features and benefits of products, detailing instructions on how to use the product, or referring to a more experienced team member if greater expertise is required
PHARMACY IMAGE
• Maintain a clean and tidy appearance in the pharmacy
• Convey image appropriate to pharmacy
• Maintain stock presentation including cleaning and shelf labeling
• Always promotes a professional image of Mediadvice Pharmacy Lurnea through their personal presentation and actions as per the employee guidelines in the Mediadvice Pharmacy Operations Manual
MERCHANDISING
• All products, displays and promotional stock to be presented in accordance with the Mediadvice Pharmacy Merchandise & Visual Display Standards
• Inform the stock controller/manager if any promotional stock is sold out or unavailable
• Assist in organising in-store promotions in conjunction with the stock controller/manager
• Provide the manager with any ideas for the in-store promotions working with the rest of the team to help identify opportunities within the pharmacy
• All products within each section of the pharmacy including displays, promotional stock and general merchandise are presented in accordance with the Mediadvice Pharmacy Merchandise & Visual Display standards
HANDLING NON-DISPENSARY STOCK
• Receive and store stock as required
• Complete all necessary stock takes
• Ensure that displays and shelves are clean and tidy, and all stock is pulled forward
• Ensure that stock is moved from storage areas onto the selling floor & placed on shelves and ticketing and signage for all merchandise is correct
• Ensure that all products, displays and promotional stock are presented in accordance with the Mediadvice Pharmacy Merchandise & Visual Display Standards
• Inform stock controller or your manager of any out-of-stocks and if you sell the last item on the shelf
• Assist in unpacking orders and stocking shelves when required
SAFETY AND SECURITY
• Comply with procedures to meet Workplace Health and Safety Requirements
• Apply pharmacy security procedures
• Report potential breaches of the above to the pharmacy manager
OTHERS
• Be responsible for nominated category in the pharmacy re inventory control, stock presentation, budget and promotion activity
• Any other duties as required by the employer
LIMITS OF AUTHORITY
1. May not sell below established discount limits
2. Must follow the company s policies, procedures and ethos
3. Cannot partake in any activities which would be deemed as a conflict of interest in your role with the pharmacy
4. Must not participate in serious misconduct as this will lead to termination of employment
5. Where there is a dispute between yourself and a team member, customers or suppliers this is to be referred to your manager at the earliest instance
6. Cannot dispose, sell or purchase any capital asset without approval of the manager
7. Cannot commit the company to any promotion or sponsorship without approval of the manager
8. Cannot commit to any advertising without approval from the manager/management
