Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team. This role involves commissioning, maintaining, and repairing our advanced drilling machines, as well as operating them when required. The position reports directly to the Mechanical and Site Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

The Mechanical Engineering Technician ensures the after-sale service on-site. The Mechanical Engineering Technician will be responsible for:

  • Reassembling Robodrill drilling machines on-site after transportation
  • Setting up and testing the machine before starting
  • Conducting, collecting, analysing, assembling and installing machines in support of the needs of the Mechanical and Civil Engineers
  • Conducting site inspection and maintenance of the machines used in the project
  • Ensuring that plans are followed and completed as specified in the contract provisions
  • Performing site commissioning and starting of the machine with the customer
  • Performing mechanical maintenance, upgrading or renovating of the drilling machines according to safety rules and production requirements
  • Advising the customer on the best way to use the machine
  • Analysing risks and setting up preventive measures
  • Performing training in driving and maintaining of the machines
  • Managing relations with the customer on technical issues
  • Communicating with the French design and technical department in order to ensure the best efficiency of machine use.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in on-site aftersales service, preferably in international environments
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt to various working conditions, especially in tunnel construction settings
  • Proficiency in English and at least one European language (French, Spanish, Bosnian, Croatian, Italian, Hungarian, or Portuguese)
  • Highly specialized knowledge in the industrial field, specifically in electromechanical assembly and automation machinery
  • A professional degree in maintenance, engineering, or production engineering is preferred. However, candidates with significant relevant experience will be considered
  • Proven leadership or project management experience (3+ years preferred)
