Salary Range: AUD 95,000 to 105,000 (plus superannuation + commission structure available)

We are seeking a legal professional in the areas of family, estate and property law to assist the solicitors with their every day work.


Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  1. Researching statutes and court case decisions for the solicitors
  2. Preparing settlement documents and obtaining signatures from relevant parties
  3. Drafting of legal documents including estate planning documents and affidavits relating to various litigation matters;
  4. Coordinating litigation with the barristers in a proceeding;
  5. Conducting legal research to support the director on a day-to-day basis across a range of legal issues and preparing legal opinions based on the research;
  6. Liaise with clients generally, providing advice where necessary and take instructions in the areas of Family Law, Wills & Estates and Conveyancing;
  7. General administrative duties regarding file management; and
  8. Network and promote the firm at networking and work events.


Skills Required:

To apply for the role, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Law Degree or equivalent to practice law in NSW, Australia;
  • At least 2 years of work experience in the areas of family, estate, and property law
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team;
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in dealing with family law matters, drafting wills & administration of estates and conveyancing (PEXA);
  • At least 2 years of experience with Leap Legal software;
  • Intermediate skills and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;
