Responsibilities:

As a DevOps/ Environment Manager (EM) Engineer, you will be instrumental in turning our customer-complex projects into a success, while being attentive to planning and budget.

What you'll be doing

·         Gather sizing requirements from customers to provide scaled Cloud or Onprem Environments

·         Analyse change requests for upscaling environments

·         Analyse bug reports in JIRA, and resolve them either in collaboration with the Dev team or by correcting the environment

·         Test environments during testing phases as part of the delivery project

·         Update environments based on new releases of the software

·         Update infrastructure scripts accordingly (Terraform + Ansible)

·         Maintain infrastructure scripts (Terraform + Ansible)

·         Management versioning of the scripts in Bitbucket

·         Share documentation of scripts with customers during handover sessions

·         Support the sales and pre-sales teams during proposals on sizing questions and all technical question regarding infrastructure

• Manage all phases of software product deployment life cycle at major broadcasters
• Deploy, configure and test Dalet solutions for clients both onsite and remotely
• Coordinate activities between various departments to meet the project milestones and timeline within budget.
• Create and maintain technical documentation during the delivery of a project
• Ensure technical issues are managed as they arise
• Identify and suggest mitigations to technical risk
• Communicate project progress, risks and mitigation plans
• Be the client's primary point of contact for all project-related matters
• Work with R&D teams to ensure that the product roadmap is in line with project requirement

Skills Required:

What you will need to be successful

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the Media industries
• Minimum of 3 years experience with the Linux operating system. (Ideally some form of a Linux Administration Certification)

·         Minimum experience of 3 years in developing and deploying server-side applications ( Java/Groovy, Javascript/Node js)

·         Minimum Experience of 3 years in developing and deploying web technologies (Javascript/React.js)

·         Understanding of protocols/technologies like HTTP, SSL, SQL, HTML, XML, JSON

·         Understanding application clustering/load balancing concepts and technologies

·         Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Rackspace (RKS) or Microsoft Azure (Azure) technologies, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

·         Minimum Experience of 3 years in automating deployments using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker

·         Minimum Experience of 2 years administering database and messaging systems like MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Redis

·         Minimum Experience of 2 years in versioning tools like Git and Bitbucket

·         Minimum Experience of 2 years in monitoring tools like Grafana, ELK, Prometheus

·         Highly motivated in customer support services and client satisfaction

·         Experience in troubleshooting/debugging complex technical issues

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

·         Good written and oral communication skills in French

·         Must be able to articulate technical solutions to all audiences

·         Ability to work independently and as a team player

·         Minimum of 6 years’ experience with Media Asset Management System

·         Understanding of video Formats and Codecs

·         Knowledge of broadcast and production systems

·         Knowledge of Cloud and SaaS solutions would be beneficial

·         Good understanding of IT as it is applied in the media industry (network, servers administration, database)

·         Good programming/scripting skills

·         Excellent presentation and communication skills, positive attitude, high energy

·         Analytical, problem solver, strong attention to detail

·         Self-starter, quick learner, can work independently and as part of a team

·         Fluent English mandatory

·         BSs/MSc in Engineering or related field, software engineering or developer programmer field or industry
