The Role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and preparing high-quality, plant-based dishes that align with our commitment to sustainability and cultural celebration. You will work closely with our team to design innovative menus, manage kitchen operations, and ensure a memorable dining experience for our customers.

As the Chef, you will report directly to the Head of Operations, collaborating to maintain our high standards and bring our culinary vision to life.

Responsibilities

The Chef will be responsible for the following tasks:

●     Planning the menu, keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients.

●     Preparing for service, which includes ensuring the kitchen is well stocked with the necessary ingredients, as well as cleaning, cutting, and marinating food.

●     Create prep lists for the kitchen crew.

●     Cooking and serving food, while coordinating with other kitchen staff and wait staff.

●     Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.

●     Creating new recipes to keep the menu fresh.

ensuring that dishes meet high standards at all stages of preparation and presentation

●     Keeping up to date with industry trends.

●     Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.

Skills Required

Successful applicants must have:

●     Culinary school degree/diploma or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.

●     Demonstrated knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.

●     Ongoing awareness of culinary trends.

●     Expert multitasking ability.

●     Ability to run stocktaking and place orders for resupply.

●     Exemplary work ethic in a high-pressure environment.

●     Portfolio of creative, unique dishes.

●     strong communication and interpersonal skills
