Position: Assistant Food and Beverage Manager
Location: New South Wales, Australia

Job type: Full Time, 38 hours/week
Salary range: AUD 85000 - 90000

Situated next to the stunning Coogee Beach, our prestigious hotel offers an exceptional dining and hospitality experience to both locals and visitors. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our dynamic team and help maintain our reputation for excellence.

The Role:

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at Coogee Bay Hotel is responsible for developing and implementing the hotel's strategic and operational plans to ensure the smooth and e􀀂cient delivery of food and beverage services. This role is pivotal in achieving and exceeding the hotel’s performance expectations for the food and beverage department.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Chefs to plan the seasonal menus
  • Working closely with the events team to plan for functions
  • Liaise with the Sales Team to deliver excellence and consistency in the Conference Centre
  • Daily 􀀃nancial management to achieve EBITDA
  • Create and implement revenue generating activities
  • Weekly stock management and stock reporting
  • Maintain overall presentation of the venue including hygiene, cleanliness and safety
  • Use guest feedback to improve the offering to suit our target market segment
  • Maintain a positive working environment for staff satisfaction and productivity
  • Assist product development to de􀀃ne the Marra offering
  • Preparation and presentation of Food and Beverage Services
  • Oversee staff operations e.g. roster, breaks, delegate tasks, training program, enhance product knowledge etc.
  • Train and develop Food and Beverage Services team to drive guest experience and consistency
  • Take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking order only when necessary or short-staffed
  • Monitor completion of daily checklists
  • Achieve 􀀃nancial budget, including revenue and labour
  • Implement quality controls across offering

Qualifcations:
Relevant Tertiary Education, RSA, Wine Accreditation
Experience: Minimum 3 years in a Management Role
