As an Accountant you will plan and provide accounting systems and services relating to taxation and the financial dealings of organisations and individuals, and advise on associated record-keeping and compliance requirements.

Key Requirements

As an Accountant you will:

  • Be available based on the plan agreed with your District Manager for the fiscal year
  • Be articulate, customer focused & professionally presented
  • Have an elevated level of computer literacy and interpersonal skills
  • Have demonstrated an elevated level of communication in previous roles
  • Be able to demonstrate strong tax knowledge▪Be able to adapt to Access Tax, Access Tax Practice Manager, Handitax software and processes with the Field Support Centre
  • Be confident
  • Have strong time management skills
  • Must understand and adhere to the H&R Block ‘Behaviours’ - COPSCuRB

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to create and execute an operational plan for the district in coordination with the District Manager (DM)
  • Being able to complete tax returns in offices as per the targets set by the DM during tax season
  • TimeTrade support – be able to identify key opportunities to increase client capacity based on demand & staff availability
  • Tax Training School (ITC/PD/LLL) support as directed by the National Training Manager& District Manager including marketing, office set up, facilitation of classes,instructor/student enquiries
  • Recruitment and onboarding - supporting the DM with recruitment administration, reviewing applications and following up employee documents to ensure a smooth process
  • Supporting the field with client escalations including monitoring InMoment
  • Supporting the field with Field Support Centre processes and understanding
  • Other support as directed by your DM

Relationships and reporting structure:
The District Operations Coordinator reports directly to the District Manager(s) in the district(s) they operate within.

Role requirements:

  • Must have a current Driver’s license, access to a car and be able to visit offices in their District(s)
  • Mobile Phone
  • Must be flexible with regards work times to support offices as required
  • May be required to provide TTS (TAX TRAINING SCHOOL) training as an instructor as agreed upon with the DM
