1. Examines and may be possible delay dangerous goods shipments if the packaging does not IATA regulations. If documentation is inadequate or incorrect, may return shipment to sender for repackaging.
2. Ensures all special customer requirements and needs are met. Monitors all customer communications and response when necessary. Recommends the best method of transport (rail, air or ocean).
3. Solves problems with the shipment (e.g. canceled bookings, airline delays, lack of space on the carrier and damaged freight, etc.)
4. Prepares misc. reports (e.g. profit report, cargo damage report, and ISO).
5. Takes initiative in developing new methods to increase business.
6. Ensures Compliance of all Regulations. Supervises enforcement of TSA (IACSSP, CCSP), FAA, C-TPAT security measures and DOT requirements.
7. Prepares for a rate quote, arrange a booking and pick up
8. Provide booking information and on-hand report to clients
9. Oversees documentation error prevention, pre-alerts and accurate AES filing
10. Coordinates the consolidations or co-loadings for better profitability
11, Obtains better rates from carriers and trucking
12, Checks surcharges and GRI
13. Reviews Customer contract and rates
14, Verifies invoice and Account Payable and Account Receivable
15. Coordinates and ensures to post Invoices on time
16. Prepares monthly ISO report; send out surveys and service evaluation
17. Coordinates preparation of the inventory and on-hand report
18. Reviews Customer contract and rates
19. Coordinates warehouse operations such as;
1. Basic English reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of office processes, procedures, and technology, Experience in supervising team activities.
3. Ability to read and interpret accounting and financial reports.
4. Three to five years of office experience which includes supervisory responsibility.
5. Excellent communication skills.
